Keane & Kanye West

What a strange week in the life of Keane. Exactly a week ago I was sitting on the Eurostar in a half-sleep, having just played the last gig of our European tour in Paris and then spent the entire night in the studio with Kanye West. He played us the whole of his new album, which sounded truly awesome - the bass was so fat that eventually the mixing desk blew up. I was especially pleased when he picked out a line from Spiralling ("When we fall in love, we're just falling in love with ourselves") as being a personal favourite, as it's my favourite line I've ever written. Hurrah. Then Kanye did some work on one of our tracks, and after that I sat in a corner and watched him do his thing on a song for Jamie Foxx. The whole thing was a real privilege and I learned a lot. I wish I had Kanye's energy...and his dress sense! Will work on it.

Keane's Christmas Broadcast: Corden vs Keane

We're very excited to announce details of the first ever live broadcast on keanemusic.com. It will be hosted by Gavin and Stacey director and acclaimed actor James Corden and broadcast live and direct from London on Wednesday 17th December at 7:30pm GMT.

This exclusive broadcast will take over the front page of keanemusic.com. It will see the band live on camera answering your questions posed to them by Corden. During the course of the broadcast, you'll also be asked to vote in a series of polls, for example "Which of the following three classic Keane b-sides would you like to see Tom play right now? A. Allemande, B. To The End Of The Earth, C. Snowed Under".

It's gonna be a biggie...

Keane play on Spanish Awards

SPANISH AWARDS SHOW ON FRIDAY

On Friday (12.Dezember), Keane are heading over to Madrid to appear at the Premios 40 Principales awards. The show will take place in front of a sold out crowd of 14,500 people at the Palacio De Deportes. It will be broadcast on Cuatro national TV channel at 12midnight and will also go out live from 8pm on 40TV and on 40 Principales radio, which you can listen to online from anywhere in the world via Los40.com.

Keane...while visiting Lisbon...

Go to the site www.keanemusic.com and see some of the pictures taken by Keane when they were in Lisbon. Jesse and Richard before the concert went for a little walk to visit the city, and in the meanwhile they met some fans. Unfortunatelly I wasn't so lucky... but I was there at the front row of Coliseu and the concert was amazing!

wow. i can't believe we are at the last gig of the tour, and what a place to finish - we opened a tour here in 2005 and it was amazing, so we can't wait to get going tonight.

jesse and i went for a wander around lisbon earlier, and took a few pics, and i've ruined a perfectly good map as we have travelled around europe, just so i know where we are in the world - you can see it below. i don't think you can get much more of a contrast between the iced-up leaf at the start of this blog and the palm tree below.
